Peter McDonald

Peter is an experienced primary educator and university lecturer who holds four university qualifications in the areas of education, mathematics, and business. With a firm commitment to international mindedness and delivering outstanding student learning, he has held various school leadership positions both in Australia and internationally. As a published academic focusing on teacher development and inquiry-based learning, he has presented at conferences in Japan, Singapore and Taiwan. A member of the global International Baccalaureate Educator Network, Peter supports IB schools throughout Asia and the Pacific as an IB workshop leader and programme leader. As a specialist mathematics teacher, Peter holds a keen interest in supporting students to develop a passion for learning, using, and enjoying mathematics.

Craig Newton

Craig has spent many years working in primary school settings in Australia and internationally, and holds degrees from Griffith University and the University of Newcastle. As an educator, he is passionate about supporting children’s literacy development and fostering positive, safe and supportive classroom environments. Craig has a wealth of experience leading research projects and implementing effective pedagogical approaches to support student learning. With his genuine warmth and relational approach to leadership, he is committed to facilitating the professional growth of teachers, ensuring they feel supported and empowered to strengthen their capacity and develop holistically.

Belinda Reitstatter

Belinda is a passionate and progressive educator who values connection, honesty and the joy of learning. An experienced pedagogical coach and IB workshop leader, Belinda has strategically led whole school improvement in the areas of inclusion, language/literacy and digital pedagogies. Her Master of Education, focussed on contemporary literacy practices, drives her commitment to supporting teachers to design evidence-informed learning experiences, that engage both the heart and mind of young learners.

Rose Pennington-Anstee

Rose is an experienced educator and leader, dedicated to fostering student wellbeing and experience. With a background in both classroom teaching and education consultancy, Rose has worked extensively in the design and implementation of evidence-based wellbeing and learning programs. Her expertise lies in translating research into practical strategies that empower students and educators alike.

Rose holds a Master of Education (Research) from the University of Sydney, where she focused on social and emotional learning policy. She has also contributed to professional development courses, university curricula and publications on student wellbeing and resilience. Rose is committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive and engaging environment where all students feel valued, supported and equipped to thrive.

Rachel Howden

Director of Junior School (Early Years)

MEd

Rachel is an experienced primary educator with a strong background in early childhood development, gifted education and mathematics. Holding a Master of Education specialising in supporting gifted and talented students, she is passionate about play-based learning and its role in fostering creativity and social skills in young children. Rachel has led the development of early literacy and numeracy programs, as well as the seamless transition for students from preschool to primary school. She creates inclusive, child-centred learning environments and uses data to improve teaching practices. With leadership experience across primary and secondary education, Rachel is committed to supporting and engaging students, tailoring her approach to meet their diverse needs and foster a love for learning.
