Our students consistently rank highly in NAPLAN results for literacy and numeracy, and our Year 12 graduates are often recognised for their outstanding BSSS and IBDP results.

The Class of 2024 achieved a median ATAR of 87.7, the highest ATAR in the ACT for 2024. A CGGS student was also the 2024 Dux of the ACT, with an exceptional ATAR of 99.95, the highest achievable.

A world-class curriculum.

Students develop the skills and attributes of contributing citizenship through the International Baccalaureate (IB). CGGS is Canberra's first and only continuum school, offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme. Our awarded IB education provides a curriculum framework that is broad, balanced, conceptual and connected, developing students into active, compassionate, lifelong learners.

Our research-based Pastoral Care program fosters interdisciplinary skills so that students unfold into resilient, capable and courageous young people.

Embedded within our curriculum are bespoke Signature Programs which are targeted, age-appropriate initiatives that inspire respect, empathy and kindness, offering a comprehensive framework that nurtures academic, emotional and social growth from the ELC to Year 12.

A home in the heart of Canberra.

Our heritage Boarding House, known affectionately as the BoHo, was the first in the ACT, and remains the only exclusively female option. For a century students from around the globe have enjoyed our charming building, on a picturesque corner of inner Canberra, with a calm and consistent educational environment, affording them the time and space to flourish.

Boarders have access to the School's excellent on-campus facilities and are provided with appropriate academic and pastoral support from our dedicated boarding staff 24 hours a day.

Our ELC, Junior School and Senior School campuses cover 10 hectares and include facilities such as an indoor heated swimming pool, gymnasiums, sports courts, state-of-the-art playing fields, an S&C gym and purpose-built buildings for science, creative arts and ICT.
